The first batching period for ranking and prioritizing applications will be January 6, 2006. All applications will be ranked using a state-wide environmental benefits worksheet and approvals will be given to those applications that will provide the greatest environmental benefits, i.e., those receiving the most environmental points. If all monies are not obligated during the first batching period, additional batching periods will be held as needed until all funds are exhausted. The applications will be prioritized based on local resource concerns as determined by the local work group.

The local resource concerns have been prioritized by the workgroup as followed:

• Grazing Lands
• Erosion/Soil Quality
• Forest Health
• Water Quality (Animal Waste)
• Water Conservation

Practices and cost-share percentages will be the same as the NRCS State practices and percentages from the state list.
