This signup will be held on a continuous basis. Any eligible landuser who has a resource concern or problem on pastureland, cropland, hayland, or forestland may apply for assistance through this program.

Applications may be made at the NRCS office of the Elmore County USDA Service Center located at 105 Gossom Switch Road, Wetumpka, Alabama, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The telephone number is 334-567-2264, extension 3; the fax number is 334-567-2254. All applications will be ranked using the Statewide EQIP Ranking Form and approvals will be given to those applications that will provide the greatest environmental benefits, i.e., those receiving the most environmental points. The first batching date for ranking and prioritizing applications will be November 17, 2007. Additional batching periods will be conducted as needed, if funds are available.

The eligible practices, cost-share rates, and restrictions are the same as those adopted statewide, with the exception that Residue Management will be limited to 150 acres per applicant.
