CAWACO RC&D Council

The CAWACO RC&D Area, located in north central Alabama, includes five counties: Blount, Walker, Jefferson, Shelby, and Chilton.

The council's goals are to assist small farms; protect and improve the area's water quality; and accelerate and expand economic, industrial, and rural development.

Cahaba River Clean Water Partnership - Restoring and maintaining water quality in the Cahaba River basin. 

Black Warrior River Clean Water Partnership - Mission is to enhance, restore, and protect water resources and the aquatic ecosystem in the Black Warrior River Basin through basin-wide public/private partnerships. 

Your Town Alabama - Planning and design training for citizen leaders of Alabama working to protect and capitalize on development.
