Subject:  CPA - Districts, Standing Committee Assignments

Purpose:  To distribute list of Alabama Association of Conservation Districts (AACD) Standing Committees and assign NRCS technical coordinators to each committee.

Expiration Date:  June 11, 2008.

Craig Sizemore, President of the Alabama Association of Conservation Districts (AACD), recently distributed a list of soil and water conservation district supervisors he appointed to the AACD Standing Committees for this year.

In response to the President's request, I have appointed NRCS technical coordinators to each committee as indicated on the enclosed list.

Technical coordinators will take the leadership to ensure the appropriate advice and assistance is given to the standing committees. Assistance should be provided during the year to assist the chair of the standing committee in identifying items needing the committee's attention during the AACD annual convention and assist in developing the committee's report. Technical coordinators should contact the chair of their standing committee and the district conservationist in the chair's county within the next few weeks to discuss ways of providing help.

District conservationists will not receive specific committee assignments but are expected to attend standing committee meetings with members of their district board during the Annual Meeting of the Alabama Association of Conservation Districts.
