Subject:  FNM – Travel Authorization, Alabama Association of Conservation Districts (AACD) Annual Meeting

Purpose:  To notify employees of the AACD annual meeting.

Expiration Date:  December 31, 2006.

The AACD Annual Meeting will be held November 15, 2006, at the RSA Activity Center, 210 Dexter Avenue, Montgomery, Alabama. There will be an opening Reception on Tuesday evening, November 14, 2006, 5:00-7:00 p.m. in honor of NACD CEO, Krysta Harden. The next day will begin with coffee and juice at 8:30 a.m. followed by the meeting at 9 a.m. Parking for the meeting will be available in the RSA parking deck across the street from the Activity Center. Enter the parking deck on Monroe Street. This will be the only entrance open to the parking deck.

Attendance by district conservationists (DC’s) or an employee acting in that capacity is contingent on attendance by one or more district supervisors. DC’s are encouraged to travel with district supervisors wherever possible. There should be a very limited amount of overnight travel. ASTC’s (FO) will be responsible for approving overnight travel and reimbursing travel expenses for employees on their team. Use the limited open travel authorization.

Each person attending should complete the enclosed registration form and mail it to the address indicated by November 1. A purchase order will be issued at the state office to cover the AACD registration fee for NRCS employees. ASTC’s (FO) please submit a list of those attending to Betty Walker by November 1.
