Subject:  FNM – Alabama Association Of Conservation Districts (AACD) Annual Meeting Travel Authorization

Purpose:   To authorize attendance at the AACD Annual Meeting in Orange Beach, Alabama, November 18-20, 2007

Expiration Date: September 30, 2008

• Hotel Reservations - October 19, 2007
• AACD Spouse/Guest Preregistration - November 1, 2007                                 

The AACD Annual Meeting will be held in Orange Beach, Alabama, November 18-20, 2007, at the Perdido Beach Resort. November 18 and 20 will be travel days. Personnel listed below are authorized to attend on official time at government expense. Individuals will be responsible for making their hotel reservations before October 18, 2007.

Attendance by district conservationists (DC’s), or an employee acting in that capacity, is contingent on attendance by one or more district supervisors. DC’s are encouraged to travel with district supervisors wherever possible.

Employees who attend are expected to participate in all meals, the general sessions of the convention, and in standing committee meetings. Assignment of NRCS technical advisors to AACD Standing Committees was provided in Alabama Bulletin No. AL180-7-2, dated June 12, 2007.

A breakfast for NRCS employees will be held Monday, November 19 from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. in Sandcastle Rooms I and II. The state office will provide a list of NRCS attendees to Beverly Riker and issue a purchase order to cover the AACD registration and meal costs. The attached AACD registration form should only be completed for a spouse/guest who will be attending a meal.
