Reporting CNMP’s Under the Appropriate Fund Code
CNMP’s are made up of practices that are both cost-shared and non
cost-shared. It is appropriate to report a CNMP that has EQIP cost-shared
practices with the EQIP fund code. It is also appropriate to report a revision
of a CNMP that has an active EQIP contract under that fund code. If the contract
has expired or is completed, the revision should be reported under CTA.
There are two CTA fund codes to report CNMP’s: CTA-GEN and CTA-GLC. Those
CNMP’s that show nutrient management being primarily on pasture land should be
reported under fund code CTA-GLC. For CNMP’s where nutrient management is
primarily on cropland/hayland, report under CTA-GEN. If the mix of cropland and
pasture is about equal, report under either fund code. I suggest reviewing
statewide performance goal progress and selecting the fund code that would
benefit Alabama in achieving its CNMP goal.
Step by Step Process:
1. Add practice code 100 for the same tract and field number that the
previous code 100 was reported. Show the current date for the 100 code.

2. Plan all other practices showing planned dates on or after the date of the
code 100. Save changes to the planning screen.

3. Click on the reporting tab of Toolkits and change the “Plan Approval Date”
to the current date.

4. Report the new 100 code and planned practices as you normally would.

5. Go to the “CNMP Written” screen in PRS to pin and add 1 CNMP and select
the appropriate national program.
