Subject:  SPA - Performance Results System (PRS) Instructions for Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plans (CNMPs) Written

Purpose:  To provide additional instructions on checks and balances when entering CNMPs into PRS.

Expiration Date:  December 31, 2007.

CNMPs can be planned in either PRS or Toolkits. Regardless of where they are planned, the user must still use the PRS CNMP Written Screen to pin each location to the map and select a national program to associate with it. Also, the Plan Approval Date should be within the current fiscal year, i.e. 10/01/2006–09/30/2007.

The intent of the CNMPs Written Data Entry Screen is to determine the number of CNMPs planned during the fiscal year using the EQIP program versus the CTA-GEN/CTA-GLC programs. NRCS has targeted goals under these three programs for the CNMP performance measure. Alabama’s Performance Goal Progress is collected from the number of CNMPs entered on the CNMP Written Screen in PRS (PRS Report 1.3).
