Subject:  PER – Retirement Seminar for FERS Employees, August 17, 2007

Purpose:    To notify employees of a Retirement Seminar.

Expiration Date:  December 30, 2007.

Action Required: 

  • Reservations by September 4, 2007
     
  • September 10, 2007:  ASTC (FO) List to State Office and State Office personnel notify Betty C. Walker if you plan to attend.

The State Office has arranged for an eight hour retirement seminar for FERS employees who have ten or more year’s service. The seminar will be conducted at the Quality Inn (formerly the Holiday Inn), 1102 Columbus Highway, Opelika, Alabama, on October 23, 2007, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and October 24, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

The Quality Inn has set aside a block of rooms at $60 plus tax for seminar participants. Reservations must be made before September 4, by calling (334) 745-6331 and asking for FERS Seminar. Hotel accommodations should be made early as a large turnout is anticipated.

The ASTC’s for Field Operations need to send a list of their employees who will be attending to Betty C. Walker by close of business September 10. A travel authorization will be prepared by the State Office for $60/39.

State office employees planning to attend should notify Betty C. Walker by close of business September 10.

A list of eligible employees is attached.
