Subject:  PER – Retirement Seminar for CSRS and CSRS (Offset) Employees

Purpose:  To notify employees of a Retirement Seminar.

Expiration Date:  September 30, 2007.

Action Required:  Reservations: February 9 - List to State Office: February 15, 2007

The State Office has arranged for an eight (8) hour retirement seminar for CSRS and CSRS (Offset) employees who are within five (5) years of retirement. The seminar will be conducted at the Holiday Inn, 1102 Columbus Highway, Opelika, Alabama, on February 20, 2007, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and February 21, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

The Holiday Inn has set aside a block of rooms at the government rate for seminar participants. Reservations must be made before February 9, by calling (334) 745-6331 and asking for NRCS seminar. Hotel accommodations should be made early as a large turnout is anticipated for this seminar.

Below is a list of eligible employees.  The ASTC’s for Field Operations need to send a list of their employees who will be attending to Betty C. Walker by close of business February 15. A travel authorization will be prepared by the State Office for per diem of $60/39.

A second retirement seminar will be held for FERS employees in October 2007.
