Purpose:  To notify employees of the appointment of the ASTC for Natural Resources

Expiration Date:  September 30, 2007

Shannon Weaver has been selected to serve as Assistant State Conservationist (ASTC) for Natural Resources effective April 1, 2007.

Shannon has provided outstanding leadership since 1997 as Assistant State Conservationist for the East Team. While providing day-to-day management and leadership, Shannon also served on numerous committees to develop workload analyses, regional management committees, and other committees charged with improving management within the agency.

As ASTC-Natural Resources, Shannon will provide leadership for Watershed/River Basin Planning, Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D), and the Emergency Watershed Program (EWP). She will also assist with operational activities such as the development of analyses of workload, productivity, and costing of offices as NRCS in Alabama implements its Cost-Efficiency Plan.
