Alabama Bulletin No. AL190-8-3

Date:
  March 31, 2008

Subject:  ECS - Forestry-Alabama Natural Resources Council Training Sessions

Purpose:   To authorize personnel to attend the training sessions.

Expiration Date: September 31, 2008

Background. The Alabama Natural Resources Council (ANRC) has assigned two of its standing committees, the County Outreach Committee and the TREASURE Forest Committee, to plan a series of training sessions. The training will explain the TREASURE Forest, Tree Farm, and Forest Stewardship programs, and will give those in attendance a template for forming and maintaining an active county planning committee. The training sessions will be held May 6, 14, 20, 22, 27, and 28, 2008, at various locations across Alabama. The attached agenda and map give specific details for each session.

Authorized to attend the sessions on official time are District Conservationists, Soil Conservationists, and Technicians. The workshops are being offered across the state so no overnight travel is required or approved.

These workshops will be especially meaningful for individuals working in a county with an inactive forestry planning committee.

Any questions concerning the training session should be directed to State Staff Forester Tim Albritton at 334-887-4560.
