Subject:  FNM - Work Schedules (Flexitour)

Purpose:   To transmit information regarding the flexitour work schedule.

Expiration Date:  September 30, 2008

The purpose of this bulletin is to emphasize National policy related to the flexible work schedule. The following policies related to this work schedule must be followed if the employee chooses to participate in this schedule.

  • Employees must choose a biweekly schedule within the flexible work schedule, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. No employee is allowed to earn credit leave outside of these hours. Supervisors should check work hours on T&A’s prior to certifying to assure they comply with this policy.
     
  • The basic work requirement for full-time employees consists of an 8-hour day, 5-days a week, 40-hours a week, and 80-hours in the biweekly pay period. Employees must have an established tour of duty.
     
  • Employees select a starting time each day; however, they are allowed to occasionally vary their starting and ending times up to 30 minutes; however, when an employee varies their starting time up to 30 minutes after their designated starting time, the employee must make up this time at the end of the day or take approved leave. Employees must complete their scheduled number of hours by 6:00 p.m.
     
  • Employees must be present during the core hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. or must be approved for leave during the portion of the core hours they are absent.
     
  • Employees are allowed to earn credit hours up to 2 hours per day between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. with advance approval from their supervisor.
