Lee County Student Wins Alabama Poster Contest

Samantha Sorka won first place in the Lee County Soil and Water Conservation District’s poster contest and was selected as the Alabama State Poster Winner 2007.

Samantha is the daughter of Carrie and Allen Sorka and a student in Mrs. McMullin’s class at Smiths Station Elementary School. Samantha’s poster is named "Conservation Power."

Samantha received her state award at the Alabama Association of Conservation District’s Annual Association meeting at the Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, AL in November.
