A rainfall event on March 28, 2009, led to a gulley from soil washing out from under a road near Carroll High School in Ozark. The damage  exposed a water line running parallel to the road.

The city of Ozark took advantage of financial assistance made available through the Emergency Watershed Program (EWP) to help fund repairs to the roadway and underlying embankment.

The city received notice to proceed on April 6 and they completed the work by April 16. Seventy-five percent of the construction cost was covered by NRCS through EWP.

The water line itself required additional support from a second pipe until repairs could be made.
