Alabama Agriculture Census

Census of Agriculture - The United States Department of Agriculture is urging farmers and ranchers to participate in the 2007 Census of Agriculture. The Census is conducted every five years by the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) and provides a detailed picture of U.S. farms and ranches and the people who operate them.  Producers can return their forms by mail or complete online via a secure web site.  Forms should be completed by February 4, 2008.  NASS will release Census data, in both electronic and print formats, beginning in February 2009.  Detailed reports will be published for all counties, states and the nation.
